INDULGENT FESTIVE FOOD THAT BRINGS YOU CLOSER TO YOUR GUESTS: Part 2

Wednesday, December 15, 2021

Christmas is all about indulging a little and sharing precious time with our loved ones. That’s why we’ve partnered with Siemens to create and share a range of festive bite-size dishes which are quick and easy to make thanks to a variety of time saving Siemens appliance features. They are designed not only impress your guests and be easy to share over conversation, but also to give you maximum time at the table rather than being tucked away in the kitchen.

Salmon Apetizers in half the time

with 4D Hot air & microwave in one

A unique and rather handy feature of the Siemens studioLine oven with microwave function is that it has combined 4D hotAir and microwave functionality in one. With no pre-heat required, this will shorten  the usual ‘in oven’ time of many dishes.

Try it with our Whisky Marmalade Salmon

Makes: 30 spoons approx.
Cooking Function: Induction hob for 5 minutes; Microwave Combination 4D hotAir 160C/180W for 5- 6 minutes
Preparation Time: 5 minutes + 30 minutes Marinade time.

Ingredients:
300g Salmon fillet skinned and cut 1 cm dice

Marinade:
2 tbsps whisky
2 tbsps orange juice
1 tsp sea salt

To serve:
2 fresh oranges segmented and cut into small pieces
2 tbsps orange marmalade
Remaining reserved orange juice
Sprinkle of nigella and sesame seeds
Fresh Dill sprigs or rocket, to garnish

Method:
Segment and then squeeze oranges, making sure to do so over a bowl so that all the juice is reserved.
Mix whisky, 2 tbsp of reserved orange juice and rock salt, add salmon cubes and toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Add remaining orange juice to Marmalade in a small pan and bring to boil, simmering for approx 5 minutes to thicken.
Place a small piece of orange segment in each spoon and place on a tray in a warming drawer setting 2.
Place marinated salmon in flat glass dish and cook on Microwave Combination 160C/180W for 3 minutes. Stir and cook for a further 2 minutes, check if salmon is cooked and add an extra minute if necessary.
Add the thickened marmalade sauce into salmon to carefully coat the cubes. Sprinkle with a few nigella and sesame seeds. Top each spoon with salmon cube on top of the oranges.  Garnish with dill or rocket and serve warm.

Cook both crisp and soft meat

with pulse steam & 4D hot air

When it comes to meat at Christmas it’s all about creating a soft, tender texture, and a delicious crust with beautiful colouration. This is where Siemens studioLine oven offering a combination of both pulseSteam and 4D hotAir helps to perfect this every time. The pulse steam helps to add moisture for a softer meat, whist crisping the perfect finish with 4D hotAir. In addition the oven will turn itself off (when using the temperature probe) when the optimum food temperature is reached, so that you can perfectly time the best result without fail.
